This is my third pair of Glycerins, and they are amazing. I have not had any knee problems after switching to this shoe, and if I have difficulty in a race, it's not due to my feet. Why 4 stars rather than 5? One word - laces. My first Glycerins had 5+1 holes, and came with 54" laces. My second and third pair have 6+1 holes, but still come with 54" laces. That means I have to go out and buy 63" laces if I want to tie a heel lock. My feet are average width, so these laces are definitely too short for the shoe.12 miles right out of the box. Zero issues. I do like the extra padding/comfort at the heel, personally. This was a great improvement, as my feet testify. I hope they keep this padding in the future.Yes, get 1/2 size larger than the Glycerin 14 shoe, as others have noted. Strings stay tight. For anyone who used the Sketcher Resistance Runner (thousands of near 5 star ratings) before they quit making it...the Glycerin 15 is an excellent replacement. Sketchers messed up big time, to stop making that excellent shoe and then go "minimalist". Their loss because my feet lost! Well, I now have a good replacement...finally.I wear a legit women’s 12 B in almost all shoes. The women’s Brooks 12’s were too short when I tried them on. I tried on a men’s 10.5 (which I have always worn if not a women’s 12) and they were too short. I ordered a men’s 11D and it is perfect. The toe box is a little wide for my foot, but I have tightened them up and seriously, I love these shoes. Bottom line, then run about half a size small in my opinion. I’ve waited a year to pull the trigger and buy these. So SO happy I finally did. These felt comfortable right from the box. Many reviews state to order a half size up. I’m glad that I hesitated on that advice and ordered my regular size running shoe. I have plenty of toe room and they are nice and cushiony, which I need due to bouts of plantar fasciitis from time to time. I ordered the ASICS gel nimbus 18 and sent them back previous to ordering these Glycerins. The ASICS felt like a dress shoe; very hard and clunky with a more than needed drop from heel to toe. These Brooks are much better!!I needed a good shoe for running with shin splints. I had tried many different options over the years but a friend recommend Brooks and I figured I would give it a shot. I could not be happier. I have added distance and reduced time in my runs, and have eased the pain of my shin splints with these shoes! I absolutely love them! They are solidly made too! I have put in quite a few miles and the soles still feel great. Definitely a good buy!My third pair of Glycerin 15s. Was going to try the version 16 but noted some mixed reviews so thought I would wait until I tried some on in a running store first. I am a 70 year old runner and have slowed down a lot but am still able to keep moving for a 10 mile long run. Haven’t felt any muscle or joint pain with these shoes. They wear well, fit true to size...not too loose or tight. These were around $90 compared to $150 new.Love these shoes! - Used to wear Asics Gel-Culumus 18 and liked them a lot but quality of uppers began to suffer as did the lasting power of the soles. Thus far the Brooks Glycerin 15’s offer better support, more balanced cushioning and a great bounce response when I do run. I am mostly a walker size 11.5 medium. In Texas heat these shoes offer great air flow and I can literally wear these all day long without over heating my feet!Got fitted with these at a running store. Excellent shoe overall. This is my third pair of Brooks glycerin, and my first men’s pair. It’s difficult to find these in a women’s wide fit so the men’s being wide as standard is fantastic. They are very comfy and cushioned well. I can get my custom insoles into them easily and wear double thickness socks, and still have room to wiggle my toes. I can’t see a noticeable difference in fit between the glycerin 14 and 15 so these are just what I was hoping for. I’ve run in my old wide fit shoes for over a year now so they are due for retirement and I’m hoping these new trainers last just as well.Very comfortable and light. I did find the size was a bit bigger that those compared to ASICs to same size. I do find the sole a bit slippery in certain wet conditions. So far have done over 120km in mostly 10k & Half Marathons.Bought them for my big foot daughtergreatExcellent service- great trainers!
