I love this shoe. The quality and styling are excellent. I am a standard sized male at 5' 9" and 165 lbs and my shoe size is 9.5. Every shoe I buy is 9.5. I think my foot size could be used as a reference for manufacturers for what a size 9.5 shoe should fit. That said, I originally ordered a size 9.5 Jerome Oxford. It was so massively over-sized that I didn't need to tie the laces to know that these would need to go back. I ordered a size 9.0 and I really, really, really wanted it to fit. It was too large but I kept it anyway. The shoe rubbed against my ankle and let to ugly bloody wounds on both feet. I thought that I could man-up and deal with this but I couldn't. I ended up ordering a Sole brand shoe insert to lift my foot sufficiently to get the edge off my ankle and now, finally, no more blood when I go for walks. My point here, if you want one of these shoes keep in mind that the manufacturer is completely clueless regarding sizing. Order three pairs of shoes starting three sizes beneath what you'd normally order and choose the one that fits. In all my life, I've never worn a size 8.0 shoe but I'm pretty sure that what's I'd need to order for the shoe to fit my foot. The manufactures of this shoe deserve a zero star for the sizing but the shoe itself is superb.Very nice looking - seemingly good quality . I returned one pair of Mephisto Hero Perf model in my size 13 - they were extremely over size. This pair is size 12 - the length is fine by they are super wide. I intend to purchase an insert hoping they will snug up , but the heel is very loose. Too bad they are great looking shoes. If you wear a EE wide shoe they might be just right. Unfortunately I wear D width which these claim to be.Comfortable, durable, great value at $120Description is Fraudulent. It says "leather uppers and linings". Shoe is unlined. Price is good but a leather lined Mephisto shoe would be about $100 more.Great shoes. You pay for quality and there is no shortage of quality with these shoes.I walked 8 miles a day in Europe for two weeks... Feet could not feel betterRuns wide which is why I have bought 4 pair. I have a fat foot and these are good. High quality and wear well,Size matters. It's so important that you'd figure shoe manufactures would have it down and never get it wrong. These are 1 size too big. They don't fit. Shoes appear to be well made with quality materials.
